There are many floatation keyrings on the market that are plastic. This reclaimed leather spent over 200 years under the sea and can now gracefully keep three standard keys afloat.

The history behind the Russia leather is incredible. It came from either reindeer or cow hide and a heavily protected, secret tanning process was used that incorporated a wonderful musk, amber and animalic scent; that King George III commissioned for his own leather during his reign in the mid 1700’s. On discovery of the leather last century many have attempted to reproduce it but to no avail. Allegedly an Englishman visited Russia on a mission to decode the tanning formula…never to return home.
